An evening with Riggs Morales is an inspirational journey from the slums of New York City poverty to riches and glory . Riggs was a Shady Records employee taking the position of an A&R , and is currently the V.P. of Atlantic records. His extensive background really meant that he had a lot to offer in terms of life experience. Riggs was assisted by Sean C another Industry professional. Sean C reinforced much of what Riggs said with his own words. Students were able to see how both of these two men took the cards life dealt and flipped them and made a hand for themselves. Virtuous and genuine,? both of these men broke down their struggles from Sean defeating cancer,? to Riggs dropping out of school yet later being dedicated to obtaining his diploma.
Fighting through a nightmare to a dream they had they testified a tale of glory, in order to motivate us to be the next big name or headline. Riggs stated that in life you have to share what you have to offer and set your name in stone .
These men are sincere and humble and the class reacted by personally thanking them for this experience. Important men of this stature don’t have to speak to kids yet they did and delivered ?nothing but?hope for the future.
Riggs left this message with me personally, “Never limit yourself and feel like you can’t”. Riggs discovered names such as Eminem and in return Eminem gave him a job at shady records. Presently working with artists such as Wiz Khalifa, and now making a name for himself on the comic book scene along side DMC from one of the greatest, original,? and classic hip hop groups, Run-DMC . This man truly defines Muhammad Ali’s quote “Impossible is nothing”.
