Cassette 5 side B: Hannah stayed in the dark room on the floor crying after Clay left. Than walks in Justin with Jessica. Before the party Hannah thought Jessica was acting as if she was drunk because she kept bumping into Hannah at the party but it was not an act Jessica was really drunk. Instead of Justin leaving Jessica in the room because he knew Jessica was drunk Justin lets in his friend Bryce were Bryce begins raping Jessica and Hannah now witness the rape . Hannah didnt react because she felt if she did what might have Bryce done to her.

2.)In Cassette 3 side B: Hannah talks about Marcus her valentine date. Marcus and Hannah were supposed to meet up at Rosie diner a diner were Hannah used to go to with her old friends .Marcus kept Hannah waiting for a long time but showed up . On top of Marcus showing up late he begins to push up on Hannah touching her upper thigh and Hannah pushed him to the floor. Not one of the many that were a the diner and witness what Marcus was trying to do with Hannah did anything they sat there and watched .

In cassette 4 A: Hannah joined the class because she thought it will be fun to know what people have to say about her in school and felt it was cool that everyone could express themselves in that class. Students had to write notes/compliments and place them other students’ bags with out telling who put t the note in each others bags. Zack took out all the notes that were in Hannah’s bag before Hannah will get to her bag. Zack did this because he wanted to get back at Hannah for turning him down. By Zack taking Hannah notes and throwing them out he made things worst for Hannah because she will look forward to her notes because it made her feel people cared. Hannah showed this meant a lot to her because she became depress not seeing any notes in her bag she even cut her hair to see if anyone had anything to say .If i were in this situation i don’t know what i would have done .

4. Cassette 4 side b Hannah tried to deal with her depression and joined the poetry club. Ryan trying to help Hannah with her poetry made every worst he began to understand what her poetry meant and felt everyone should read it and Hannah didn’t want that but Ryan stole her poetry book and let all her poems out to the whole school. Poetry class didn’t work for Hannah because now Hannah felt” even her thoughts were being offered up for ridicule “in school.

Mr. Porter didn’t do enough for Hannah. Hannah was giving him hints of what she wanted to do, and, although he tried to ask questions, he didn’t get straight to the point and let Hannah leave his office. Clay is going to guide the next person to help them understand better

2) I believe Sheree will go back to her mom and will become a independent woman . Her mom will also become more supportive and neither of them will depend on men any longer. I also think Ange will eventually come around to telling her father how much she needs him and will stop seeking trouble just to hear him yell at her.

2) Sheree tells Angie to leave Raheem because she believes that he is only using Angie for her money. She believes that you shouldn’t be with a guy who can’t support her financially . Angie’s father wants her to stop seeing him because he thinks he is trouble and that he is too ghetto and will only cause trouble for Angie

3) Sheree is dating Damon because he gives her money when she needs it. She also thinks he looks good with the way he dresses and such. I think both Raheem and Damon both are bad guys. Both cheat and both use the girls whether it’s Raheem using Angie for money or Damon using Sheree for sex.

4) Sheree ran away from her mother for one because she got pregnant with Damon’s baby also because she felt like she could no longer live in the conditions her mother put her in with the men that she brought home .

5) In part II Sheree’s mother tells Sheree that she understands her side and she tells her all the experiences she went through herself to make her act or feel the way she did and how she sees herself in Sheree when it came to their attitude towards men. She tells her that she always cared and always wanted to be there for Sheree and that Sheree should come home because she wanted to help her. I think Sheree’s mother response to her was very understanding, but the circumstances that she put Sheree through were not right. She should have been more of a mother than a friend.

2)In cassette 3 side b: Hannah talks about how Marcus and how he sort of stood her up on their first date at Rosie’s Diner. He showed up but about half hour late and that made Hannah very upset . Then he tried to touch her leg while they sat together. She shoved him off the stool and she was shocked and afraid. Others did nothing about it.If Marcus did that to me, I would have punched him in his face and then walk out and never talk to him again.

3) In cassette 4a Hannah talks about her going to a peer communication class. Hannah felt that if she took this, it will be better for her because she will be able to express herself and she wouldn’t feel so depressed all the time. Zach hurt her because in the class each student has a comment bag, that they can send comments to each other. Zach stole all of Hannah’s comments and that was like the only thing she was looking foward to take her mind off of her depression. Hannah decided to show everyone she was depressed by cutting off her hair into a short bob. If it were me, I would be hurt but I would ask the person why they did it.

4) In cassette 4b Hannah tries to deal with her depression by going to poetry club beacause she figured someone would probably be able to understand her. The poetry club didn’t work for her because Ryan stole her book and printed the poems so that the whole school can read her personal poems.

3. in cassette 4 side A Hannah joins the peer communications class becuase she wanted to see if it would help with her depression to see how her peers would react. Zach hurt her by removing all the nice notes that she would get from other students in the peer commincations class from her bag before she could read them and it made her think that no one cared enough about her to even give her good comments. Some of the signs of being depressed that Hannah showed were the cutting of her hair, the giving away of her possesions and the changes in her attitude like her breakdown in the hallway. I think if i saw a similar anonymous note i honestly wouldnt know how to respond except to tell the class that whoever is the writer of the note could go to their doctor and their doctor could refer them to a psychiatrist if they wanted to talk about it
