Thank you for coming by tonight.

We will start Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher next week.  Hannah, the main character, commits suicide. She leaves behind several cassette tapes in which she explains why she decided to kill herself. There are people from her high school that had to do with her decision.

1. What could have driven her to the fatal act?

    1) Because of rumors

    2) Most teen view suicide as a way of escape and some of them think that people don’t care about them so why would they care about them self

    The thought of how people think of her and what people say made her come to the thoughts of suicide. Teens nowadays view suicide as a point where everything I guess would get better because then they won’t have to deal with anything anymore.

    1. The thing that could’ve taken her to this was that it was uncomfortable for her to try to fit in in the new school and the way things started of for her just made things worse for her.
