F.E.G.S is here to provide support to the students, teachers and administrators at the Lehman YABC. We provide counseling, work readiness training and internship placement, recreational and enrichment activities, college planning, health seminars, tutoring services, attendance outreach and other support services.

The purpose of the F.E.G.S Learning to Work Program (LTW) at Lehman YABC is to provide a foundation for students in the world of work. We place YABC students in subsidized internships where they are able to earn a stipend while garnering valuable experience in a specific career sector. This exposure to the professional world is critical in that it provides students with both an informed perspective on what is means to be involved in a work experience while also providing an excellent resume with solid references. Some of the perks that are involved include free job training, biweekly stipend checks, gift certificates for select students, snacks, and most important the opportunity for permanent employment. LTW workshops are held Monday-Thursday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm |

Come down to B-23 and talk to someone! The process is like this; all interested students will sit down with a Vocational Development Specialist and get an orientation, complete with an overview of the process. You will enroll in eight days of workshops and then sit with a counselor who will hand pick the best internship for your particular needs and aptitudes. |
