On Wednesday March 20th, Students of Lehman YABC took a trip to Long Island to tour two colleges. Five Towns College and Long Island University. Upon arrival to Five Towns, Students were introduced to the tour guides. Shortly after touring main halls and being given explanations about the campus, students were taken to a classroom studio. There they were introduced to an audio professor, who allowed some students to aid in creating a song. Some students sat at a mixing board while fewer others recorded vocals in the sound booth. After this, students were fed pizza in the cafeteria. This concluded the Five Towns section of the tour. YABC then headed on over to Long Island University.?This section of the tour was strictly… a tour! No hands on activities took place, but a tour of nearly the entire campus was taken. From the main building, to the food courts, to the gym, and a classroom. Students of YABC gained knowledge about and first hand sight of two different Colleges, Five Towns being Audio/Media based while L.I.U. was more generic.
